MGT675 is the final course of the SEU MBA. You cannot register for it until you have cleared 27 credit hours, which means it lands when you are already deep into the programme and usually working full time alongside it.
The project runs in five stages, each approved before the next begins.
- Topic selection. You choose a business problem narrow enough to research properly in one term.
- Proposal submission. Your supervisor signs off the scope, research question and method before you write the paper.
- Paper writing. You build the document on SEU’s official template, from title page through to appendices.
- Data collection and analysis. You gather your data and interpret it. This stage consumes the most time and is the one students underestimate.
- Final presentation. You defend the project and answer questions on it.
The sequence matters. A proposal returned for revision in stage two compresses every stage after it, and there is no slack in the term to absorb that.

SEU provides an official template and expects you to follow it. Formatting is not cosmetic here, and marks come off when the structure drifts.

- The topic is too broad. A question that sounded manageable in week one turns out to need six months of data.
- The literature review reads as a list. Ten papers summarised one after another is not a review. Your supervisor wants the argument between them.
- The methodology does not match the question. A qualitative question with a survey bolted on gets sent back.
- The analysis stops at description. Tables and percentages are not findings until you say what they mean for the business.
- The template drifts. Small formatting inconsistencies accumulate across sixty pages and cost marks that were free to keep.
- The timeline collapses. Stage two runs late, and every stage after it gets squeezed into the gap.
